Untether Offline Education Infrastructure

Curriculum

A full curriculum, authored to survive with no signal.

Untether does not stream. Every subject ships as a self-contained content pack — lessons, media, assessments, and an offline answer key — that runs entirely on-device and reconciles progress whenever a network appears.

01

Foundational Literacy

Phonics-through-fluency reading, structured writing, and oral-language packs in 14 languages, with printable fallbacks for classrooms without screens.

02

Numeracy & Math

Number sense to pre-calculus, each strand gated by a mastery check that runs offline and stores the result to the learner record.

03

Science & Practical

Inquiry units built around materials a rural classroom actually has, plus simulation packs for experiments that can't be run on site.

04

Vocational Tracks

Agriculture, health, solar, and device-repair modules co-designed with regional ministries and NGO partners.

How a pack is structured

Every pack, the same skeleton

Authoring is constrained on purpose: a fixed structure is what lets one field device, one printout, and one sync server all speak the same format.

Strand A — Lesson Sequence

on-device
  • Ordered lessons with embedded media, sized for low-power displays.
  • Each lesson declares its prerequisites, so a device can hide what a learner isn't ready for.
  • Printable one-page fallback generated from the same source.

Objective: a learner with a dead battery and a printout loses features, never the lesson.

Strand B — Practice & Mastery Gates

offline scoring
  • Item banks with offline auto-scoring and a per-item error taxonomy.
  • Mastery gates that must be cleared before the next strand unlocks.
  • Results written to the local learner record and queued for sync.

Objective: assessment does not depend on a marker, a server, or a signal.

Strand C — Teacher Companion

print + device
  • Facilitation notes for teachers who may be a grade or two ahead of the material.
  • Grouping suggestions for multi-level, single-room classrooms.
  • A weekly retrieval schedule so earlier strands don't decay.
